Benefits Server Room Portable Air Conditioner

Benefits Server Room Portable Air Conditioner

Server rooms are essentially rooms that house computer servers and in the informational technology sector, the term generally applies to smaller arrangements of servers, while larger groups of servers are housed in data centers. Server rooms are at the heart of IT operations, and in order to prevent hardware malfunction and system failure, proper operation and setup is critical.

Unfortunately, in an enclosed space of a server room, the generated heat from equipment can quickly increase the ambient temperature beyond equipment specifications. The life and reliability of machines is compromised, and other disastrous results can follow, including system crashes, random reboots, and overall poor performance. With that in mind, it's important to keep your server room's temperature within the recommended ranges associated with your hardware. Keep in mind that the heat dissipation from your servers will require adequate ventilation and cooling, so this is an important step in protecting your equipment and ensuring maximum productivity.

Environmental Conditions of Server Rooms
Computer equipment ages quicker when hot, and for individual machines such as home or office desktops, the internal fans and cooling mechanisms are often sufficient at keeping temperatures within safe operating limits. However, in data centers and server rooms, this may not be the case. Modern server equipment generates enormous amounts of heat, and today's machines run faster and hotter. Moreover, server rooms may even be prone to "hot spots" which can build up behind equipment racks or near larger machines, and if not addressed, this can cause premature failures.

Increased humidity levels can also affect your server room because high humidity levels can damage equipment by causing corrosion and rust. Thus, preventing humidity changes and variations is imperative in order to avoid environmental conditions where there may be excess condensation, so the optimal humidity levels for a server room or data center should range from 40 to 55 percent. Lastly, another problem that can plague server rooms is insufficient airflow often due to the server room's design. As such, all of these environmental temperature problems and fluctuations usually call for the installation of separate cooling systems.

Why Buy a Server Room Portable Air Conditioner?
When it comes to computer server rooms, keeping temperatures and the overall environment controlled must occur twenty four hours a day due to constant heat generation. Relying on central air conditioning systems is not possible due to the fact that most systems are prone to shutoffs during weekends. Moreover, central air conditioners are complex appliances that have been known to suddenly fail. Window air conditioners aren't an option either, as most server rooms are usually not near windows. Instead, they are often located in interior rooms which presents a cooling dilemma for many customers.

Thankfully, portable air conditioners are ideal for keeping server rooms at the right temperatures because they have the ability to cool office spaces and computer rooms that house heat-generating electronics. This prevents computer networks, communications, and office equipment from shutting down when temperatures rise. As self-contained units, one of the biggest benefits of a portable AC is the fact that permanent installation is not necessary. In fact, almost all models include rolling casters that allow you to move the unit from one area to the next, making cooling server room hot spots especially easy.

Nonetheless, server rooms can't be cooled by just any type of portable AC. An ideal server room portable air conditioner must have the following features:

1. Automatic Restart Function
2. Ventilation System to Displace Hot Air
3. Condensation Tank

Automatic Restart Function
An automatic restart function is imperative in a server room portable air conditioner because it will help keep the unit running continuously, even in the case of power failure. In other words, you can still keep your equipment cool even at night or on the weekends when central cooling is not available, and in the event of a power outage, the air conditioner will resume operation once the power is restored without you having to reset the controls manually. We recommend models such as the Soleus LX-140.

Ventilation System to Displace Hot Air
Server rooms must have a means to expel heat from the server room. As mentioned above, many server rooms are located within the interior of a building, and furthermore, window air conditioners can't be used because of the security risk presented by an open window. The ideal type of portable air conditioner for a server room uses a vent hose to push air out through a drop ceiling or wall.

Condensation Tank
A server room's atmosphere requires low humidity levels because too much moisture will cause damage to machinery. However, because portable air conditioners act as dehumidifiers and whisk moisture away from the air, this condensate is collected into a condensation tank or bucket.

Christmas Tree Decorating Themes

Christmas Tree Decorating Themes

Millions of people display Christmas trees in their homes each year, and many of those trees feature the same decorations, year after year: round glass ornaments, traditional lights, some tinsel, and a star or angel at the top. After a while, the traditional decorations start to get a little boring! Why not spice up this year's holiday season with a themed tree decorated in a unique and unusual way? We've got some great tips and ideas to help you get started. Here are a few things you will want to consider in your quest for a new look.

While it is not necessary to decorate your tree to match the decor of your home, it is a likely result because your home and tree both will reflect your sense of style and decorating taste. You also want to make sure your tree looks like it belongs in your home; that is, you don't want a tree that looks "out of place" with its surroundings.

A complimentary color scheme between your room and the tree always creates a pleasant look. This does not mean that you have to match your room completely; however, some attempt to tie the colors together is always helpful. A room with black, brown, and beige upholstery and cream carpet looks wonderful with a tree with white lights and silver, white, and gold ornaments. A room with bright colored furniture and walls looks great with a tree and lights with bright decorations that coordinate with the furniture. When choosing colors, don't forget to have some fun!

Keep in mind that larger trees need larger decorations. Just as it wouldn't look right to put 12 inch diameter ornaments on a 5 foot tall tree, it would also look strange to cover a 9 foot tall tree with tiny 1 inch ornaments. Remember that the size of your tree should also be in keeping with the size of the space. If you have a larger foyer or living room with a vaulted ceiling, choose a large tree that will make a grand impression. For smaller areas such as bathrooms or hallways, small tabletop trees can make an elegant statement.

Now for the fun part-choosing the theme of your tree! If you have a special hobby or passion that you enjoy, don't hesitate to reflect that in a fun tree. For example, if you enjoy baking, put a tree in the kitchen and decorate it with cookie cutters tied with bright ribbons, colorful recipe cards, cinnamon sticks, and home made sugar cookies! If you have a collection of some type, a Christmas tree is a great way to show it off. For example, themed trees are very popular for people who collect model trains, cars, motorcycles, etc. Tie your collectables to the tree and use them as ornaments. If you have a child, make a special tree for their room decorated with things that children love. Some good choices might include color crayons, paint sets, small books, chalk, small cars and dolls. Of course, when decorating a children's tree, it is important to choose age-appropriate decorations. For very young children, be sure you don't decorate with anything that might be a choking hazard.

No matter what your preference, there are no limits to how you can express yourself with your Christmas tree. After all, it is a decoration your home and it should reflect you and your family's tastes! Get creative this Christmas season and think outside the box--you may truly surprise yourself with a wonderful result!

Helping Others Find Their Own Happiness

Helping Others Find Their Own Happiness

They say happiness is an elusive thing. You do not exactly look for it or chase it. Being happy is on of the greatest emotions a human being can experience. It is an exhilarating feeling of being alive, an invigorating lift of the spirits. A laughter that elicits the joys of rejoicing. Sometimes, in our own true quest for happiness, one major factor gets overlooked. Happiness is even more meaningful and worthwhile when we help others find it as well. There is this inherent delight in knowing you helped others finding their own visions of happiness because the mere selfless act of helping creates joy.

It is like sharing your life with them as well. There are 3 major keys to help others find happiness. 1.) Motivate and inspire-You know the feeling when there is somebody that inspires, you whom you look up to you; likewise motivating you that you can be all that you ever want to be in your life. This is one of the best things a person can do for someone to help them attain happiness or bring back the joy that was once lost or forgotten to even just to smile a bit. Look for ways on how to motivate and encourage people.

There are times when even a simple act of a friendly hug, a warm smile, a pat on the back, a firm handshake or by just telling them of your trust and belief in them is enough to make them glad. 2.) Give yourself freely. Most saints like Mother Teresa are best paragons of giving selfless acts of kindness by giving freely of themselves. Although sometimes, it is difficult, but giving freely of yourself is a rewarding experience. One effortless way to do this is by participating or joining in an organization or support groups of any kind. These are remarkable because you do not have to worry or try to find out how to give freely of yourself.

All they need is your presence and you just have to do what it needs to b done. It shows another charitable side of you, when you give unconditionally and never asking for anything in return. You may have no idea what happiness you can bestow to someone by just being there, sharing stories, bringing laughter, or by merely volunteering even a couple of hours or more a month of your time. 3.) Be a classic living example of how it is done. The greatest and effective way to really help people find their own happiness is to live very happily yourself.

By doing so, you will naturally show people that yes, it is actually possible and capable to live a very happy and fulfilling life. They will emulate you and you become their epitome for happy living. You will be a classic inspiration to many. They will think that if it can happen to some, then it can happen to them also. Ultimately, since you already knew how well to do it and live by it, teaching other people in succeeding how to live a happy and meaningful life will be much more easier.

Jewelry Through the Ages

Jewelry Through the Ages
By Elvin Retinz

Like all creative fields, jewelry design is highly influenced by the world in which it is created. Current events always find their way into the minds and the designs of jewelry designers, and if you look at jewelry from different time periods with a historical perspective, it will be clear to see the interaction between modern events and the jewelry designs that were popular then.

For instance, consider the world right after the atom bomb was dropped in Japan. Jewelry designed during that time often takes the shape of bursts of stars and diamonds sprayed out light an explosion.

Beyond that, jewelry is usually designed with the idea of being appropriate of being worn in the night or being worn in the day. Daytime jewelry is usually simpler and understated while nighttime jewelry is bolder and more "in your face."

Nighttime Jewelry and Daytime Jewelry through the Years

During the 1950s it was all about cold jewelry. In the daytime, it was common to see so called Florentine finishes on the jewelry, as well as mesh finishes. Foxtail chains were popular jewelry designs in the 1950s, as were the ubiquitous string of pearls so associated with this prim and proper time period.

The next decade was all change in so many ways, and the jewelry of the 1960s reflects the massive changes going on in society with bold pieces. Gold took a back seat to silver jewelry, often laden with gemstones in every color of the rainbow. Platinum jewelry also gained popularity in the 1960s. Abstract designs, geometric shapes, ethnic jewelry and more outside of the box jewelry designer were the wave of the day during this time. This time period was an anything goes time culturally and an anything goes time when it comes to jewelry as well.

The 1970s brought women's liberation and different kinds of jewelry trends. Women's jewelry pieces became bolder and more dramatic, and non traditional material began to be used frequently, such as woods, crystals and leather. Ivory and African inspired jewelry was also popular in the 1970s.

The affluent 1980s brought with it a return to diamonds, gold and other glamorous jewelry styles, as people clamored for pieces that showed off their bank balances. This trend continued into the 1990s, although the style became slightly less gaudy and more understated.

In the 2000s, platinum made a comeback in a big way, as did non precious metals. Diamonds remained popular, despite concern over the human costs of diamond mining. What the future holds is anyone's guess, but look for current events to continue shaping jewelry design

Black Friday Online

Black Friday Online

When it is time for you to prepare for your Christmas shopping on Black Friday, you should consider staying home and not rushing to the stores like the other shoppers. Businesses lure customers into their stores at the early hours of Friday with discounts that are hard to pass up on. However, you should consider Black Friday online shopping before you get lured into the stores.

One problem with going to the stores to purchase the items on your list is you are probably not going to be able to find all the items on your list in one store. You are probably going to have to go to multiple stores to complete your shopping list. While this may not be a problem on a normal day, it will be on the busiest shopping day of the year. You will face long lines and even longer waits at each store, which will take up your entire day.

Along with not being able to find all the items on your list in one store, is not being able to find the items at all. The businesses do everything they can to ensure that they stock their store so they will not run out of an item, but there is always a possibility that they will. With Black Friday online shopping, you will be able to order every product that is on your list, and it will not be sold out.

One big reason that people go to the store to do their shopping is they receive big savings. What those people do not know, is you are able to get those same savings on the internet. You can get the exact same discounts you receive in the store when you shop online, which takes away one of the main reasons people go to the store in the first place.

One of the biggest reasons people dislike going to the stores on Black Friday is the crowds. You will probably have to deal with traffic to get to the store, run into a long line to get into the store, and then have to go through another line to purchase your items. The crowds are ridiculous because everyone is out looking for a good deal. If you shop online though, you are able to get all the items on your list from the comfort of your own home.

Black Friday online shopping has many advantages that you should consider when the day comes around. You can avoid the crowds, get the same savings, ensure you get all the items on your list, and do not have to visit many different stores to purchase your items. You will save a lot of time and hassle, so why go to the store when you can do it all online?

How to Handle Allergies

How to Handle Allergies
By Jill Bernardi-Bromwich

When I was young I never suffered from allergies, as many children do today. Unfortunately, however, I grew into my allergies as an adult. When I turned twenty I began to have signs of allergies.

My first clue that I had allergies was being around cats. My eyes would be red and swollen. They would itch like crazy. As time went on I seemed to have more and more trouble with allergies and itchy eyes.

Once the spring and summer months arrived I was constantly sneezing and still had trouble with my eyes. This was becoming unbearable! So after discussing this with my family and the family doctor, I was tested for allergies.

I had to have the allergy test where they put all the needle pricks in your arms to test for different allergies, like pollen, grass, trees, cats and many more.

After this test, I was told by the allergist that I was the most allergic person they had had all week! I had environmental allergies and was allergic to basically everything. So they put me on allergy shots. I had them about every week at first and then every two weeks for as long as I can remember. The shots actually did help.

I had heard over the years that pregnancy could help with allergies. I wanted a child terribly for years.

During the summer after I married, at 37 years old, I found out I was pregnant. I had been off allergy shots for quite some time, as I was planning to have a child.

Well, somewhat to my surprize my allergy symptoms became negligible. During the summer of my pregnancy I had practically no allergy symptoms, which was terrific as far as I was concerned.

This continued during my pregnancy and throughout the first two years of my son's life. Unfortunately, the allergies started up again. I am hoping not to have to go back on allergy shots, however due to the fact that I want to try more natural methods of healing.

I have recently learned that low magnesium and vitamin A can cause itchy eyes and allergy type symptoms.

I am taking supplements daily to help rectify this, without going back on allergy shots. I am taking a supplement that has a much higher rate of absorption in the body than regular supplements, which can crystallize in the small intestine and cause other problems.

I have also made my home completely free of harmful chemicals and use safer and healthier products for my family.

These include safer cleaning products as well as household items. By using safer household products this helps to reduce allergens in the home.

I don't have to breathe in the fumes, which make most people choke. I have found that my allergies have subsided overall due to a healthier and more environmentally friendly home

Child Obesity Influences

Child Obesity Influences
By James Rouse

Child obesity rates have been increasing steadily over the past 3 decades among all different age groups, races, and educational levels. There are so many factors that can increase the risk of child obesity to list them all. Everyday we can come up with another reason from: too much television, too much video game playing, too much fast food, too much computer usage, too much eating, not enough exercise, its hereditary, school pressures, family problems, environmental influences, and on and on. Each one of these are legitimate reasons for the increase in child obesity. However, parents, schools, and even the community can be influential in preventing and solving the problem of child and adolescent obesity.

Parents It All Starts At Home

From the time our children are born parents are the nurturers and role models. Parents shape our children's environment from day one making typical parental decisions. They decide when and where their children will eat, what quality and quantity of foods that are provided, and what type and amount of exercise that their children get. Of course, these are the key elements to good health. Diet, exercise, and nutrition. Being a positive role model is critical since children from an early age mimic their parents habits. If you have a taste for certain foods and serve those foods to your children regularly they will tend to carry those tastes into adulthood. In other words if you crave carrots your children will have a liking for carrots.

If you have a sweet tooth though, the same is true. Setting a good example with healthy eating habits will help fight child obesity. Home is where, from an early age, habits are formed both good and bad. As the numbers of families in need of dual wage earners increases the home environment changes due to the lack of supervision, cooking less nutritious foods, and not having enough quality active time with the children. Since parental examples are not being instilled in their children exercise and how they are eating is compromised which many times leads to child obesity. Children who have one or more obese parents have a high probability of being obese adults. Genetics do have a role in this but many times it has more to do with family lifestyle such as: stocking the refrigerator with fruits and vegetables, limiting television viewing time, eating together as a family and keeping them physically active. Parents can be influential in preventing and solving the problem of child obesity.

Community Influences

Outside of family gatherings the local community is the first taste of the social scene for most children. Whether its church, the local YMCA/YWCA, or get togethers at the town hall. Local communities are well aware of the child obesity epidemic and know that it is a worldwide problem. Many have taken positive steps to create a gathering place for children for recreational activities. Towns have changed planning codes to develop more open space and walking or bike riding paths to encourage more physical activity. Some have put limits on fast food restaurants and vending machines near popular hang outs for children. Towns have become aware of the need for children to have a safe place to play outside of their homes. They realize that children will become too inactive if they don't, which could lead to child obesity. As the number of pedestrian injuries, abductions, and deaths climb parents naturally are more cautious about allowing them to frequent these open spaces unescorted. The community is trying hard to help families fight child obesity by making positive changes in development.

School Influence

Aside from summer vacation children spend more time in school than they do at the home during the daylight hours. Many schools have incorporated nutrition into their curriculum - teaching students about good eating habits and proper exercise. Vending machines have been banned at some schools and the Federal Government has regulations on the nutritional content of the lunch program. Poor nutrition can influence academic achievement. Obese children miss more school due to health reasons or taunting than non obese children . Schools do have an influence on child obesity.

Relieve Flu Symptoms With Herbs

Relieve Flu Symptoms With Herbs
by Sharon Stajda -

Homeopathic treatment is a non-toxic method of medicine used to treat a wide variety of health problems. Homeopathic remedies which include using herb and vitamins has been widely studied. Many physicians have incorporated homeopathic remedies into their treatment plans for many illnesses. There is good scientific proof that herbal therapy — will work to stimulate the body’s own immune system to alleviate symptoms when the body is ill. One such illness that plagues society today is Influenza.

Influenza (flu) is a viral infection that most often attacks the respiratory tract. The flu is very contagious, and is spread quickly by means of contact. By contact I mean touch. The simple shake of a hand, or turning on a water tap, can lead to the spread of flu. One of the problems with flu, a person is contagious for two days before realizing they have come down with it. This is one of the reasons it is so hard to stop the spread of flu

Symptoms may vary from person to person in severity. The symptoms may include, congestion, sore throat, fatigue, fever and chills, aches, lack of appetite, headache, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Depending on the virility of the influenza strain Symptoms may last 4 to 7 days.

Due to influenza being a virus, treatment is geared toward alleviating symptoms and providing comfort. There are many wonderful herbal remedies that will aid in easing the discomforts of the flu. All of which can be purchased at your local health food store. To name a few—

Ginger tea, made from a fresh ginger root, chopped and boiled for 15 min. can help ease a sore throat, and aid with congestion problems. It also is great at settling upset stomach. Works well to curb nausea.

Anise tea will thin mucus, and make it much easier to rid the body of mucus build up.

For indigestion, fever, and an all around relaxing effect. Try catnip. For headache and sore throat, Tilden flower tea, works wonders.

Cayenne pepper in soup or juice will clear the sinuses in a snap...

Raw garlic or garlic capsules help prevent antibacterial infections that can accompany the flu. Other herbs that have the properties to aid against infection, and are said to shorten the duration of the flu are, Echinacea, Elderberry.

For restless nights, try Camille tea. Add two tea bags in a cup of boiling water. It is very soothing, and promotes restful sleep.

If heavy congestion is a problem, and you have a humidifier, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil or peppermint oil. It will help gradually open the airway. Peppermint oil is also wonderful for adding a bit under each nostril, it helps clear the nasal passage quickly.

I have only mentioned a handful of herbal remedies that will benefit a person when ill. There are many wonderful herbs that will not only help one feel better when they are under the weather, but will aid in keeping ones body healthy. I hope I have planted the seed curiosity, and this article will encourage readers to look further into herbal solutions to treat illnesses.

A Personal Success Secret

A Personal Success Secret

By: Steve Gillman

What do we even mean by personal success? Hopefully you don't think it is all about appearing successful to others in order to feel good about yourself. So what if you have the things they all desire and you gain enough money and power to impress the world. It may be true that it will cause some good feelings in you, and satisfy some lower nature that we all have. But this is a fragile and temporary success at best.

Finding a "success" based on the standards and opinions of other people means you are forever dependent on the approval of those people. You are only as successful as they say you are. A financial failing, a change of public tastes or even just growing old and less attractive will leave you scrambling to get back into their good graces. That isn't personal success. That's personal stress and spiritual corruption.

It isn't that there is anything wrong with money, homes on the beach or even fame. You can have all these things and be a successful human being too. But to base your life on a wealth that is defined outside you makes you a slave to both the whims of public opinion and your own mistaken ideas. Hopefully you already sense the futility of chasing other people's dreams, but the latter - the following of the one's own bad ideas - that is what the following secret of personal success addresses.

Personal Success Is Beyond You

The above may seem like a bold statement, or perhaps even rude, but let me explain what I mean. What you and I see as our "self" is often an identity created in our minds. I'm not talking about the conscious choice to maintain a certain "image." We all "play" roles at times. But how often are we conscious of the interior forces that "play" us. In other words, there are patterns of thought and ideas in your mind that pass themselves off as "you."

This isn't meant to be mystical in any way. I'm referring to a real phenomenon that you can verify for yourself, but to speak of these things requires a metaphorical understanding. So imagine for a moment that an invader has taken control of your mind. It tells you what you can and can't do, who to impress, why you should feel bad, and more. Now watch your own thoughts today and you'll see that this is not an invention, but a reality of how our minds work.

We all tend to identify with the thoughts and conversations which fill our minds. They tell us how to feel and exactly why we should feel that way, and we even repeat their arguments as though this is who we truly are. But if you do not consider a virus in your body to be you, why do you call those thoughts in your head "you." They seem to come and go without conscious decision and are contradictory and often self-defeating, aren't they? They are just thoughts, and you certainly are more than this collection of random ideas and repetitious programmed responses.

Perhaps this is easier to see in our friends, where we can easily witness bad ideas truly "taking hold" of them and leading them down destructive paths. But why would they hurt themselves if they didn't identify with these thoughts as their "selves?" They wouldn't.

Suppose a man told you to jump off a cliff or otherwise hurt yourself. You would ignore this advice, right? In fact, even if someone simply suggests why you should give up on something important to you, you probably dismiss it as rude. But when the advice comes from your own mind in the form of your own imagined voice, you jump, don't you? And you justify your actions and feelings using the arguments handed to you. How often have all of us missed opportunities or been lead to destructive actions or painful situations by the thoughts in our own minds? Yet we so easily believe that our busy mind is looking out for our own best interest, that it is who we are.

This secret to personal success, then, is to start to doubt your own internal dialogue. It will ramble on, but you can mentally step back and see how much of it is nothing more than a mechanical reaction. You really don't even need to see what childhood experience created this or that mental "program" or pattern of thought and behavior. You just need to witness it and see it for what it is. Then reach beyond this false "you" for better answers.

This is a kind of self awareness that requires constant vigilance and continuing exploration. But it's worth it. You may be surprised to see how many things you consider valuable are actually just ideas that started from the people and environment around you and now are trying to perpetuate themselves in your mind, pretending to be your own. You can dismiss these bad ideas once you see them clearly for what they are, and then pursue what is truly valuable to your truest self. That is a powerful secret of personal success.

Exercises to Build Muscle Fast

Exercises to Build Muscle Fast
By Brenda Williams

Of the various methods talked about to build muscle fast, many are totally incorrect. One theory totally wrong is that without the use of steroids, thin people cannot build muscle fast. In today's day and age, lots of skinny people cannot put on weight no matter how much they eat.

Skinny people cannot always be blamed, however, since genes can have a lot to do with it. Genes can tell a body to use up lots more calories than others. But it is still possible under these conditions, to build muscle fast in a skinny person.

The way most people would go about trying to gain weight is by consuming more food than is being burned up by the body. Even using this method, weight training should be incorporated in the plan in order to build muscle fast.

The body will take in extra nutrients through weight training, and will increase levels of muscle mass and raise essential hormones.

Building muscle is an important part of getting stronger, preparing for certain careers, marathons and many other sports. Consider the fact that boxers or fighters must build weight to enter higher classifications.

For this reason, experts have speculated the importance of building muscle quickly with the use of foods, certain exercises and muscle training techniques.

To build muscle fast, most of a person's weight training has to comprise of free weight exercises. The secret is to fuel a large amount of muscle fibers. Weight training consists of the use of changeable resistance enabled gear, body weight exercises such as dips or pull ups and free weights such as dumbbells or barbells.

No matter which of these situations is the most relevant to you, it's very important to remember to exercise stabilizers and synergists (supporting muscles). By exercising more muscle, the more stimulation muscle fibers will receive.

Compound/multi joint exercises involving bigger muscle fibres will form the necessary basis for muscle-building, together with synchronous exercises of different muscle groups.

By following these workouts, an increase in muscle fibers in a short time frame will be noticed, allowing someone to build muscle fast. Additionally light weights and heavy weights should be interchanged for best results.

More Exercises:

Mentioned below are a few more exercises to help a person build muscle fast:

1. Bench presses for the shoulders, chest and triceps
2. The use of an overhead press will help with shoulders and triceps
3. Bar dips for the chest, shoulders and arms
4. Legs and lower back should benefit from squats
5. Pull ups are great for triceps and shoulders, as are barbell rows

With any weight training program aimed at helping to build muscle fast, a diet high in protein (animal protein) should be incorporated.

Eggs, cottage cheese, whey, poultry, fish and beef all contain necessary proteins which should be consumed. There are vegetarian substitutes, and these are bean curd, soy protein, and tofu. The consumption of the correct type and amount of food will be evident in exercising.

Even though protein is necessary to build muscle fast, certain amounts of carbohydrates and fat are also necessary.

The best sources of these are pasta, beans, rice, sweet potatoes, yams, oatmeal, potatoes and cream of rice. Green leafy vegetables and fruits are beneficial for the body

Why Internet Marketing Does Not Work Without SEO

Why Internet Marketing Does Not Work Without SEO'

Search engine optimization (SEO) should be considered a critical element of any Internet marketing strategy. This is important because there is so much which can be gained from SEO in terms of Internet marketing and advertising.

Failure to optimize your website for search engines can result in a considerable loss in terms of free advertising which is essentially gained from ranking well with search engines. This article will provide insight into what SEO is and will explain why Internet marketing requires at least some degree of SEO.

SEO optimization is a strategy in which a website is designed to obtain favorable search engine rankings from popular search engines. This may be achieved in a variety of different ways and optimal SEO strategies combine a variety of different strategies to complete one well orchestrated SEO campaign. There are several elements to consider when attempting to optimize your website for search engines.

This may include keyword density, prominence, META tags, titles and inbound links. Keyword density is one of the most common SEO strategies and essentially involves using relevant keywords often in the content of a website to demonstrate the relevance of these keywords to the website.

This is important because search engines are likely to reward websites with optimal keyword densities with favorable search engine rankings in an effort to provide Internet users with the most relevant websites for particular search terms.

The prominence of keywords should also be considered. This includes how close the keywords are placed to the beginning of the website. The common mistake with this strategy is to believe the first opportunity to incorporate keywords is in the first line of visible text on the webpage. This is not true because search engines crawl the code of a website as opposed to the visible content on the website.

This means there are multiple opportunities to incorporate relevant keywords long before the actual visible content on the website. This might include the code for the title as well as the META tags.

Business owners who realize the potential for incorporating keyword into the code gain an advantage over competitors who only incorporate keywords into the content on their website.

Another area of concern which is very important for those who are interested in SEO is inbound links. Inbound links are essentially links which reside on other websites and direct traffic to your website. These links are considered important because many search engines place a value on inbound links because they are essentially an example of one website recommending another website.

However, when obtaining inbound links it is important to do so from other websites which rank well with search engines because many search engines consider the rank of the original website when determining the value of the inbound link.

Now that we have briefly explained some of the main concept of SEO, we will illustrate why it is important to optimize your website in the first place. SEO is so important because most Internet users highly value the results of search engines and are likely to only visit to ranking websites when they search for a particular keyword. Internet users trust search engines to serve the most relevant content first and are therefore not likely to visit websites which do not fall on the first or second page of search results.

This means websites which rank well essentially are receiving a great deal of free advertising from search engines that place their website in a key position. Website owners who do not invest time into optimizing their websites miss out on a great deal of potential web traffic.

The Difference of Adware, Spyware and Anti-virus

The Difference of Adware, Spyware and Anti-virus

Adware, spyware and computer virus share some similarities, one of which is that all three are major nuisances for computer users. Let's differentiate the three.

Spyware is software that does not intentionally harm your computer. What they do is that they create pathways wherein someone else aside from the computer owner can communicate with the computer. Normally spywares record the various types of web sites you visit which are later used by web advertisers to allow them to send you unwanted emails and pop-ups.

This is why spyware are usually frowned upon and greatly avoided. They are more intrusive than adware. Spyware have their own separate executable programs which allow them to record your keystrokes, scan files on your hard disks and look at other applications that you use including but not limited to chat programs, cookies and Web browser settings.

The spyware then will send the information that it had gathered to the spyware author. The agent will then use this information for advertising and marketing purposes. They even sell the information to advertisers and other parties.

Adware, on the other hand, are more legitimate form of freeware. Similar to spyware, adwares are advertising materials which are packaged into a software or program and are installed automatically once that particular program or software is added into the computer system. Some forms of adware, on the other hand, download advertising contents as a particular application is being utilized. It is quite unfortunate that most of the adware programs take the form of spywares that is they track and report user information to program authors.

Some signs of spyware infections include pop-up ads that seem to be not related to the site you are viewing. More often than not, spyware pop-ups are advertisements about adult contents. Also if you notice your computer slowing down, there's a big chance that spywares and its other components have found their way in your operating system. When the Windows desktop also takes a longer time to load, its best to scan your computer for possible spyware infections.

Meanwhile, viruses are destructive form of software. They were purely designed and created for one purpose alone: to wreck havoc to your computer. They destroy whatever they come in contact to and will initiate self replication and infect as many components of the computer's operating system or network as possible.

Nowadays, a lot of anti-virus software also provides spyware and adware scanning and removal utilities. Some programs, however, are focused on located and deleting or destroying spyware and adware programs. Whether is an anti-virus software or a anti-spyware dedicated scanner, they both search your computer and identify any spyware and virus installed on your system.

They then remove it as well as their components located in the system registry among other places in your computer. It is therefore, good to regularly update your virus or spyware scanner to ensure that your computer is protected from the thousands of spyware and viruses in the internet. Never be fooled from ads that claim that their products only contain adware.

These adware maybe spyware in disguised and are just waiting to be deployed for them to gather your information. Learn to setup firewall systems and always block pop-up blockers to minimize computer infection and ensure the security of all your computer files.

How To Make Money Online Without A Website

How To Make Money Online Without A Website
by: Melanie Mendelson

You don't need to have a website to make money on the Internet. Here is a proven strategy to make money online without a website:

Step 1: Find Affiliate Product

Find a product to promote where you make good commission on each sale. Generally, you will get the biggest commissions on digital products. Digital products are defined as something that is downloaded directly to a customer's computer after purchasing, like electronic books or software

Since there is no extra cost per unit, no inventory and no shipping, the commissions are much greater than on regular "physical" goods. The most common commission on digital products is 50%. The best place to find such products is Clickbank.com.

Sign up as a reseller (also called affiliate) for a product that looks the most appealing to you. After you sign up, you will get a unique affiliate link where you need to send people to purchase the product.

Your affiliate link will have a special code that will tell the product owner that it's you who referred the customer. The affiliate link code will allow your commissions to be tracked correctly and assigned to you.

Step 2: Get Domain Name

Get a domain name to redirect to your affiliate link. A domain name is a .COM name (like yourproduct.com). You can get it for under $9 at GoDaddy.com. GoDaddy.com will allow you to redirect your domain name to your affiliate link at no extra cost.

So when someone types in your .COM domain in their browser, it will go to your affiliate link. The visitor will see the website with the product you promote, and the commissions will be tracked correctly.

The reason why you need a domain name is that it's memorable and it makes you look more trustworthy. Affiliate links tend to be too long and arouse suspicion. For example, most people would rather click on the link bestwidgets.com as opposed to abcwidgets.com?reseller=john

A domain name will make your affiliate link look like it's your own website. So basically, you will have a product to promote and a website to send people to and get commissions - without really having your own website.

Step 3: Drive Traffic

In order to make sales, you need to get visitors to your domain name (which will forward them to the website of the product that you resell). You can pay for advertising and hope that your profit will be greater than advertising cost, or you can use free ways to generate traffic.

The most effective way to get free targeted visitors to your domain name is by writing and submitting articles. You can write short articles on the topic related to the product that you promote. At the end of the article, you include your author bio and your domain name link.

You will then submit your articles to various websites, and allow them to publish your articles as long as your link is included. Your articles will get published in many places on the Internet, and will be advertising your affiliate link at no cost to you whatsoever. People will read your articles, like what you have to say and click on your domain name link ready to buy.

Once you start getting regular sales from your articles, you can go back to step 1 and find another product to promote using this strategy. After a while, you will build up a nice source of Internet income - without even having a website

Living with Eczema

Living with Eczema
By John Vanse

Eczema is one of the most widespread skin disorders in the world. As such it is a part of life for many people.

Although there is at present no cure for this skin condition the symptoms can be controlled reasonably well if care is taken.

Eczema affects people of all ages and does not discriminate on the basis of sex as statistics show it is equally common among females as it is in males.

Eczema symptoms can range from mild to moderate and, at times, to severe.

The most common kind of eczema is atopic eczema (or atopic dermatitis) and this kind affects approximately one in every eight children under the age of five in the United States every year.

It is estimated that at least 30% of babies are very likely to develop atopic eczema although many eventually grow out of this skin problem.

For some children the condition disappears by the time they are two or three years old, while for others it may not decline until they enter school.

Unfortunately however there are still some children who continue to suffer the symptoms of eczema into their teenage years and some carry it into their adult life.

For those child sufferers who still have eczema in their adult life, the symptoms are often only mild or moderate rather than being severe.

Eczema is usually much worse in the early years of a child's life than it will be later in adulthood.

There are a number of types of eczema and they are usually categorized into two major groups - allergenic eczema and non-allergenic eczema.

Allergenic eczema results, as the name suggests, from allergies and medical research suggests that it has a genetic connection, similar to other disorders such as hay fever and asthma.

Often people prone to eczema are more likely to have these other disorders as well.

It is also believed that eczema can, in some instances, be caused by sensitivity to certain kinds of foods or to contact allergens such as for example, dust or mold.

Also allergenic forms of eczema can be made worse by sweating or overheating as well as exposure to the extremes of hot or cold temperatures.

Allergic forms of eczema include atopic eczema, which is the most common type, allergic contact eczema, and irritant contact eczema.

Non-allergenic forms of eczema include:

• infantile seborrhoeic eczema, also known as cradle cap;

• adult seborrhoeic eczema, of which dandruff is one of the milder forms;

• varicose eczema, which generally affects older individuals, particularly on the lower legs and around the ankles; and

• discoid eczema - roundish patches which can appear on many different parts of the body.
A number of factors which induce flare-ups of existing eczema conditions have been identified.

These include:

• high levels of stress;

• fluctuating hormone levels in women such as those that occur naturally during the menstrual cycle, during pregnancy and during menopause; and

• low humidity is also sometimes a factor in eczema flare-ups.

Eczema affected skin is dry, itchy, red, swollen and very sensitive. The best methods of managing these symptoms are by:

• applying moisturizing cream several times a day using emollient creams and lotions that do not contain perfume or alcohol;

• avoiding letting irritants such as harsh detergents and cleaning chemicals touch your bare skin;

• avoiding contact with some materials such as nickel;

• not allowing yourself to become overheated or too stressed; and

• wearing clothes that are made of predominantly cotton fabric

Use Cherry For Your Body Lotion Scent

Use Cherry For Your Body Lotion Scent
by Joanne Schlacter

Have you ever encountered a cherry bark scented body lotion? Lotions are more than just some skin application whose primary purpose is to provide skin nourishment and smoothness.

Nowadays, lotion products are beginning to recognize the beauty of using natural products as a means of providing scents into their lotion.

It used to be the scents in lotion are being used so as to entice the market to buy this product.

But with the challenges that the environment suddenly poses to everyone's health, skin lotions have started to look into the healing properties which scents can provide.

What Makes the Cherry Bark One of a Kind?

Body lotions nowadays are beginning to utilize fruits more than just an edible product.

And yes, even cherries are useful when it comes to skin protection and preservation.

However, aside from the fruit itself, the bark of cherry trees have also been found out to provide great natural medical benefits to people.

It also helps that it has a distinct earthly smell which some users will be very interested to try.

For starters, the cherry bark gives off an exotic yet relaxing scent to those who will use it.

It really gives a refreshing feeling that one is taken into the middle of the forest to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature.

Women nowadays are starting to appreciate the effect of cherry bark scents as it tingles the senses.

The Good Effects on the Skin

The cherry bark has been firstly made famous for its medicinal properties in terms of treating diseases.

It has gained popularity in the field of treating bronchial illnesses from simple coughs to complex cases of bronchitis.

It has also been a popular ingredient among cold decongestants as well as medications for other illnesses such as diarrhea.

But recent studies have shown that the cherry bark is more than just a medicine which can treat internal problems.

Studies revealed that the cherry bark is a great source of antioxidants which can easily repair damages on the skin.

Being an antioxidant is also a great feature added on skin lotions because it helps prevent the skin from toxic build up due to daily and prolonged exposure to various external factors like pollution.

The cherry bark can effectively trigger the release of skin fibers and therefore preserve the natural beauty of the skin.

The obvious effect of this ingredient is that the skin is made more supple looking and vibrant in color.

It also helps make the skin more elastic therefore making it stronger and flexible especially when rigorous daily activities are being engaged in.

Cherry bark scented lotion is also known to contain some unique components such as amino acids and fructose.

These substances help tone and nourish the skin which in turn makes the person's complexion look fresh and rejuvenated.

Practice Anger Management

Practice Anger Management
Shanat Kuphur

Man is governed by too many emotions that he is actually under the firm grip of these emotions and often fails to deliver his best.

He at times doesn't know the mind set that give rise to these feelings that overtake his normal attitudes and activities.

Anger is one of such emotions that come as a result of too many similar emotions. It happens in such a way that often anger is an outcome of many other emotions or it give birth to several other emotions.

It is a mixture of several feelings simultaneously dominating human mind. Anger management becomes a risky job because of this influence of those tender feelings.

Man exhibits anger in various circumstances.

It might be due to a severe mental tension that disturbs him in office or at home.

Otherwise it can be a way of expressing intolerance towards any particular matter.

The reason can be a dislike of anything that surrounds him.

There are still different classes of people who show anger for no solid reasons.

They take it as a mask to hide something in them.

When people show anger to dominate others, anger management comes up as something that deserves due attention.

This happens in offices and at home, and is a common phenomenon.

There are people who shout at their sub ordinates at office for no reason.

This might be to show an unnecessary domination over the other. But the net effect that it has on both of them is not negligible.

Again there are similar happenings occurring in several houses also. When parents show anger towards each other frequently, it interferes with the growth of the children.

There are situations where children brought up in such a noisy atmosphere turn to disturbed behaviour in the latter part of their life.

This is a threat not only to the family, but also to the entire society and even to the nation.

Anger management requires immediate attention because a failure in the earlier stages will cause the habit to grow to such an extent that recovery will be impossible at that advanced stage.

By that time, the individual might turn to be a nuisance to those who are acquainted with him.

They hesitate to talk or mingle with him as they expect misbehaviour at any time. The person himself will be humiliated when he burst out of his anger in public.

He will forget even his surroundings when anger conquers him.

When tension conquers him, he will find refuge by showing this anger towards someone else. He fails to find a solution to his problem and this adds to his tension.

This process continues as a chain.

Anger management requires special effort from the part of the individual himself as he is the master of his emotions.

It is difficult for others to control him at the time of anger as they are afraid to approach him at that time.

The most effective anger management technique is hypnosis.

Hypnosis starts the therapy by training the person to deviate his concentration to something else when he bursts with anger.

The anger management techniques help him to relax his tensions and worries.

He learns to take the challenges of life easily and thus prevents himself from being controlled by his anger.

In a relaxed mind, he can respect others and understand their individuality.

Thus he avoids shouting at others by overcoming his anger with positive thoughts.

Anger is an emotion that is hidden in all individuals.

But managing it properly requires special abilities.

No one should let it go beyond the limits as it is harmful not only to him but to the entire group of people surrounding him

Symptoms of Bird Flu

Symptoms of Bird Flu
by Patsy Hamilton

Although wild birds carry the viruses, they are usually unaffected by symptoms of bird flu. It is domesticated birds (chickens, ducks and turkeys) in which avian flu symptoms cause sickness and sometimes death.

The symptoms of bird flu in domesticated poultry may be mild causing ruffled feathers and low egg production or severe causing disease that affects multiple organs and death in 90-100% of flocks in as little as 48 hours.

It is believed that the degree of difference in avian flu symptoms is related to the strain of the flu virus infecting the birds.

Avian flu symptoms do not usually occur in humans, however 239 confirmed cases have been reported in humans since 2003, according to statistics compiled by the World Health Organization (WHO).

140 deaths worldwide have been attributed to symptoms of the bird flu.
Human cases of avian flu symptoms have been reported in many countries in Asia and the Middle East, but most have occurred in small villages and outlying areas of Indonesia and Vietnam.

Most confirmed cases of avian flu symptoms in humans resulted from contact with infected domesticated birds or contact with surfaces contaminated by the feces and fluids from infected birds.

The symptoms of bird flu in humans are typical flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough and muscle aches. But, in some confirmed human cases the symptoms of bird flu have included eye infections, pneumonia, severe respiratory diseases, acute respiratory distress and other severe and life-threatening complications.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) believes that the wide range of avian flu symptoms in humans may depend on which strain of avian bird flu virus the person was infected with.
Avian flu symptoms alone are not sufficient to confirm the diagnosis of avian influenza in humans or birds, because the symptoms of bird flu are so similar to typical flu symptoms and other viral infections.

In order to make a confirmed diagnosis of avian influenza in humans, a swab of the nose or throat must be taken within the first few days after suspected symptoms of bird flu are noticed or two separate blood tests must be taken to confirm the presence of H5N1.

One of a number of flu viruses that exist among birds. Only H5N1 flu virus is believed to cause the severe avian flu symptoms that have led to death in more than 50% of the confirmed cases.
While highly contagious among birds, avian flu symptoms are not easily transmitted by human to human contact.

The only confirmed cases of avian flu caused by contact with an infected person have been among family members who remained in close contact with the person suffering from the symptoms of the bird flu.

This is unlike seasonal flu and SARS which are highly contagious viruses among humans. The concern over a pandemic (worldwide spread) arises from the fact that viruses mutate. So, if the current avian bird flu virus were to mutate into one that was highly contagious then a worldwide outbreak of avian flu symptoms could occur.

If you do not have contact with birds that are infected with the avian flu virus and you do not take care of people who have contracted the avian flu virus, then you will not develop symptoms of bird flu from the virus as it currently exists.

If the virus should mutate to a more contagious form, you can still protect yourself from severe avian flu symptoms in the same way that you would protect yourself from seasonal flu.

While no one is sure why what appears to be the same virus would cause mild or moderate symptoms of bird flu in some people and death in others, it is known that a healthy human immune system can fight off most any flu bug in 7-10 days

7 Muscle Building Tips

7 Muscle Building Tips

Here are 7 important muscle building tips that will get you muscular and lean in a short period of time.

Tips 1.

Up the protein. No matter what you hear from studies, doctors, or many times individuals who've never stepped inside a gym, protein does help increase muscle mass. Ask the trainees who have had success in building lean muscle and all will agree you need to increase your protein for muscular results.

Tips 2.

Train heavy but safely. Go as heavy as you can in strict form. You may be able to lift even heavier weight, but you'll likely be compromising your form, making the movement less effective and more dangerous.

Tips 3.

Do big movements for mass. The big movements are the following: Squats, Deadlifts, Dips, Chins. There are others that can be classified as big movements, but these will get you started gaining major muscle.

Tips 4.

Eat meals throughout the day. Keep putting the protein food down throughout the day, preferably every 3 hours. These don't have to be full on meals, but rather can be protein shakes or bars. This will keep your body in a steady muscle building state throughout the day.

Tips 5.

Creatine. Taking creating can improve your strength and lead to greater mass gains. It's not a magic bullet, but it's also not a scam supplement. It can provide good benefits for muscle gain.

Tips 6.

Don't overtrain! Rest! The biggest killer of muscular gains is overtraining. Your body grows during it's recovery or rest period. If you don't allow your body days off from training, then you simply are not allowing your muscles to grow. Taking every other day off from training can be very conducive to gaining more muscle.

Tips 7.

Get on a proven Muscle Building Program! The quickest way to gain muscle in only a few months, is to get on a muscle building program, follow everything it says to do, and watch your body grow. A good program will take all the guesswork out of how to develop the most muscle in the shortest amount of time.

How To Use Human Growth Hormone, Side Effects

How To Use Human Growth Hormone, Side Effects by Mark Henry

Chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone found in the female body during the early months of pregnancy (it is produced in the placenta).

It is in fact the pregnancy indicator looked at by the over the counter pregnancy test kits, as due to its origin it is not found in the body at any other time.

Blood levels of this hormone will become noticeable as early as seven days after ovulation. The level will rise evenly, reaching a peak at approximately two to three months into gestation.

After this point, the hormone level will drop gradually until the point of birth. As a prescription drug, HCG offers us some interesting benefits.

In the United States, we have the two popular brands, Pregnyl, made by Organon, and Profasi, made by Serono.

These are FDA approved for the treatment of undescended testicles in young boys, hypogonadism (underproduction of testosterone) and as a fertility drug used to aid in inducing ovulation in women.

When prepared as a medical item, this hormone comes from a human origin. Although there is often a fear of biological origin products, there is little research to be found regarding pathogen or sterility problems with HCG.

The problems seen with human origin growth hormone are certainly not to be repeated with HCG, as this compound is obtained in a much different way.

While HCG offers the female no performance enhancing ability, it does prove very useful to the male steroid user.

The obvious use of course being to stimulate the production of endogenous testosterone. The activity of HCG in the male body is due to its ability to mimic LH (luteinizing hormone), a pituitary hormone that stimulates the Leydig's cells in the testes to manufacture testosterone.

Restoring endogenous testosterone production is a special concern at the end of each steroid cycle, a time when a subnormal androgen level (due to steroid induced suppression) could be very costly.

The main concern is the action of cortisol, which in many ways is balanced out by the effect of androgens.

Cortisol sends the opposite message to the muscles than testosterone, or to breakdown protein in the cell.

Left unchecked (by an extremely low testosterone level) in the body, cortisol can quickly strip much of your new muscle mass away

The main focus with HCG is to restore the normal ability of the testes to respond to endogenous luteinizing hormone.

After a long period of inactivity, this ability may have been seriously reduced. In such a state testosterone levels may not reach a normal point, even though the release of endogenous LH has been resumed.

Many who have suffered severe testicular shrinkage may be able to relate, as it is often some time before normal testicle size and feelings of virility are restored if ancillary drugs had not been used.

The excessive stimulation brought forth by administration of HCG can likewise cause the testicles to rapidly return to their normal size and level of activity.

We are not simply looking for it to fix the problem however, as the resulting high testosterone level can itself trigger negative feedback inhibition at the hypothalamus.

Estrogen production is also heightened with the use of HCG, due to its ability to increase aromatase activity in the Leydig's cells.

This is due to the main action of HCG, namely the increase of cycIicAMP (a secondary messenger that regulates cellular activity).

When stimulated by HCG, the ability of the testes to aromatize androgens could potentially be heightened several times greater than normal.

This also may inhibit testosterone production, so we therefore use HCG only as a quick shock to the testes.

The usual protocol is to inject 1500-3000 I.U. every 4th or 5th day, for a duration usually no longer than 2 or 3 weeks.

If used for too long or at too high a dose, the drug may actually function to desensitize the Leydig's cells to luteinizing hormone, further hindering a return to homeostasis.

Timing the initial dose is also very crucial. If your were coming off a cycle of Sustanon for example, testosterone levels in your blood will likely stay elevated for at least 3 to 4 weeks after your last injection.

Taking HCG on the day of your last shot would therefore be useless.

Instead one would want to calculate the last week in which androgen levels are likely to be above normal, and begin ancillary drug therapy at this point.

In this case HCG would be started around the third or fourth week.

Likewise, after ending a cycle of Dianabol (an oral) your blood levels will be sub normal after the third day.

Here you may want to begin HCG therapy a few days before your last intake of tablets, giving it a few days to take effect.

One would also want to give some thought to the level of suppression that the cycle might have brought about.

After an 8 week cycle of Equipoise for example, 1500-2500 I.U. would likely be a sufficient initial dosage.

The lower amount of hormonal suppression one associates with this drug would probably not require much more.

On the other hand, 750-1000mg of Sustanon per week might incline the user to inject a much larger HCG dose, perhaps as much as 5000 I.U. for the opening application.

It may thereafter also be a good idea to reduce the dosage on subsequent shots, so as to step down the intake of HCG during the two or three weeks of intake.

As discussed above, HCG acts only to mimic the action of LH.

It is likewise not the perfect hormone to combat testosterone suppression, and for this reason it is used most often in conjunction with estrogen antagonists such as Clomid, Nolvadex or cyclofenil.

These drugs have a different effect on the regulating system, namely inhibiting estrogen-induced suppression at the hypothalamus.

This of course also helps to restore the release of testosterone, although through a much different mechanism than HCG.

A combination of both drugs appears to be very synergistic, HCG providing an immediate effect on the testes (shocking them out of inactivity) while the anti-estrogen helps later to block inhibition on the hypothalamus and resume the normal release of gonadotropins from the pituitary.

The typical procedure involves giving the Clomid/Nolvadex dose from the start with HCG, but continuing it alone for a few weeks once HCG has been discontinued.

This practice should effectively raise testosterone levels, which will hopefully remain stable once Clomid/Nolvadex have been discontinued.

While unfortunately there is no way to retain all of the muscle gains produced by anabolic steroids, using ancillaries to restore a balanced hormonal state is the best way to minimize the loss felt with ending a cycle.

6 Potentially Dangerous Weight Training Exercises

6 Potentially Dangerous Weight Training Exercises by Luke Johnstone

There are many weight training exercises recommended today that are potentially dangerous.

These exercises are still being prescribed simply because of word of mouth, ignorance, and unfounded generalisations passed down from generation to generation.

However, many scientific studies, along with the basic laws of anatomy and physiology prove that many of these exercises are not only ineffective, they are potentially dangerous.

The leg extension is a classic example of an isolated exercise. (Stimulates only one muscle). It is not a functional exercise that is performed in our daily activities. The actual movement draws the patella (knee cap) back onto the femur (thigh bone) causing a grinding type motion. This causes anterior knee pain, which is the most common place for knee pain. A very good reason why this exercise should be avoided. Tests have also proved that they aren’t merely as effective at stimulating the quadriceps as compound lifts, such as squats, leg press and lunges.

This weight training exercise places the shoulder joint in its least stable position, which makes it susceptible to injury. This shoulder positioning is also ineffective in creating maximal force about the shoulder joint. Compound exercises like, dips, push ups or the bench press are much safer and more effective alternatives.

This exercise, because of the dysfunctional range of motion, puts a lot of stress on the intervertebral discs of the lumbar region. Isolating the back muscles, by not letting the ab muscles support in the exercise is potentially dangerous. To improve your back strength and decrease back pain, it would be a lot more beneficial to strengthen your abdominal muscles. The erector spinae muscles this weight training exercise aim to strengthen are rarely weak. They are used all day long to maintain posture and carry out activities.

The starting position is very unstable for the shoulder joint. The shoulders are placed in their weakest position. The range of motion during this weight training exercise places the shoulder in a position that can cause impingement of the rotator cuff. The poke neck posture also encourages rotator cuff impingement. Lifting weight while having this poked neck posture also puts a lot of undue stress on your cervical spine (neck vertebrae). These stresses can be a lot worse in people who have bad posture, lack shoulder flexibility and have poor control of their scapula (shoulder blades).

This weight training exercise is very similar to the shoulder press. Hence the problems are the same, rotator cuff impingement and stress on the cervical spine. This exercise is also very easily performed incorrectly if you lack flexibility in the shoulder joint. This can drastically increase the risk of injury to the neck and shoulders. A much better weight training exercise would be to do close grip lat pulldowns to the front, pulling it down to your collarbone.

Just like the leg extension, hamstring curls are also extremely dysfunctional. When would you perform this movement in real life? Your legs are built to work as one collective unit. The joints and tendons of the knee (Or any other joint for that matter) are simply not built to be isolated then overloaded with weight. Hamstring curls, pulls the tibia back onto the femur, putting a lot of strain on the knee joint. A much better way to train the hamstrings is the way they are meant to function, by extending the hip. Much more efficient exercises would be squats, lunges or deadlifts.

Based on sound, scientific principles, these 6 weight training exercises increase the risk of sustaining an injury. So do yourself a favour and stop doing them. There are plenty of alternatives that are not only safer, but deliver better results

Battling Bone Cancer

Battling Bone Cancer by Sharon A Bell

Myeloma is a type of cancer in which abnormal cells destroy normal tissue. This results in extremely fragile bones and intense pain.

This condition, which is also known as Kahler's disease, is common in adults between the ages of 50 and 70. More men than women suffer from the disease.

There are many kinds of myeloma. But the tumor is often grayish red and appears in the ribs, pelvic bones, and the bones of the skull.

"The main symptom is bone pain, which seems to worsen at night. Back pain is often present. Bone fractures may occur.

Abnormal bleeding, difficulty in urination, anemia, a tired feeling, painful swelling on the ribs, and susceptibility to infections are all possible symptoms," according to Marion Morra & Eve Potts in "Choices: Realistic Alternatives in Cancer Treatment."

"Since the bone marrow is producing fewer oxygen-carrying red blood cells and disease-fighting white blood cells, myeloma patients are often anemic and susceptible to infections such as pneumonia.

As the plasma cells act against the bone tissue, calcium is released sometimes in amounts exceeding the kidney's capacity to dispose of it. The patient may become weak, nauseated, and disoriented," they added.

To diagnose myeloma, the doctor may require x-ray studies to reveal destroyed bone parts. Blood and urine tests can detect abnormal proteins that indicate the presence of the disease.
Treatment of multiple myeloma depends on the extent of the disease.

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are often used to relieve symptoms and repair bone damage. Exercise and adequate fluid intake are important to prevent immobilization and calcium imbalance. Back braces may help keep the patient active.

"Radiation therapy may be used on specific parts of the back and neck to relieve pain and help repair bone damage. The tumor cells usually decrease in number at a rapid rate during the first few months of treatment, and the patient may go into remission.

When a complete remission occurs, there is a complete return to a state of normal good health. The symptoms disappear, the physical findings become normal, and abnormal cells are no longer found in the bone marrow and blood," Morra and Potts said.

Sometimes the remission is only partial, and one or more signs of myeloma may not disappear completely. Examination of the blood, urine, and bone marrow at regular intervals allows the doctor to follow the course of the disease and to select the proper treatment," they concluded.
