Developments in SEO

Developments in SEO

As the popularity and total dependence on Search Engine Optimization grows exponentially, so does the need for further advancement in this aspect of web placement.

SEO has its next biggest and baddest feature and find just like any other product or service. It is necessary to stay on top in order to literally "Stay On Top".

If you want to keep your company and site on top of the trifecta of search engines, it takes time, effort, and constant research into bigger and better ways to do it.

One thing that is in constant renovation is the increase in reliability of SERP's (Search Engine Results Page).

They are constantly trying to stave off and reject unethical and abusive methods of optimization so that the companies with better reputations and proper SEO move farther up and receive the better ratings.

Originality check and even grammar and spelling have become new and better ways to be ranked. By doing this, it wards of article spinners that hire any ole' person to write, and rewrite, without the proper proofreading and back checking of their content.

Another great feature in SEO that is being used is content-aware bots that scour the internet with their relevancy finders.

They are even designed to think more like a human, just like the new Captcha codes being released these days. No longer can you just put any old information on your site and then try to pass it off as a medical dictionary or something to that effect.

The importance of this to you is that this means you need to make sure that all your ducks are in a row and you are sure that meta-tags, site and page titles, and content and captions all match.

As we move into the more modern use of the web as a social gathering place, virtual business center, and all around everyday reliability, we find that just like in the days of yore, word of mouth goes a long way to gaining popularity and traffic to your site.

Now how does this translate to digital word of mouth. Well, we all know about "Back-Linking", the use of other popular sites and forums, and even other sites of your own, to link back to your targeted site based on content and subject matter.

Now there is a great new venture called link-baiting. Link-baiting simply works like this. In any good SEO optimization scheme it is always good to draw people back to your site either through a great regimen of article distribution, or social media interaction.

But back-linking draws people directly from other sources to your site either blatantly or inadvertently. Link-baiting essentially drives other people to also link back to your site based on content they post and services they offer. So you want to not only blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc...

You want to make your content attractive enough to have it passed on to other sites by readers. By doing this you allow the back-linking to do all the work for you.
